That is the case at Envision Chiropractic. Our massage therapists are trained in providing care that is customized for each patient.

Egle “Agnes” Locatis: Licensed Massage Therapist, certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.Prior to joining Dr. McFarland’s practice, Agnes worked at ReNew Therapeutic Massage Center, Sport and Health in Bethesda and Potomac Massage Therapy Institute where she assisted faculty with their classes and worked in the clinic. Agnes worked as a medical librarian both in Lithuania and US before she discovered her passion for massage. A mother of three daughters, she enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, yoga, and outdoors.

Education: A graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute, Agnes has taken continuing education classes in Breast Cancer and Restorative Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Zero Balancing and Hot Stone Massage. She also has a degree in Library Science from Vilnius University in Lithuania.

Specialties: Agnes offers both deep tissue and relaxation (Swedish) massage, incorporating many other modalities as appropriate including stretching, mayofascial release, Trager, Lymphatic Drainage and hydrotherapy. Her approach is to provide detailed work in a specific, but fluid manner so that clients have an overall experience of having had a massage that is beneficial for optimal physical performance, relaxation, and stress reduction.

Philosophy: Agnes believes that massage is most beneficial when the therapist and the client work together. Her massage work is client-centered, addressing client’s specific needs through focus areas and then expanding into a full body experience. She is committed to spreading the knowledge and relaxation to people that want to be more balanced, feel better and be mindful of their own bodies.
